Hi there,

I am a 2016 model vespa GTS 250 i.e owner. I bought it secondhand last year. Last Friday when I was about to go to TUV test on the morning, when I had started the engine, I had noticed that rear left signal is not blinking. I removed lamp, checked the bulb, it is working. Controlled the Wiring till the rear socket with a multimeter. Everything is fine, lamp is OK. Cable is OK. however, signal is not blinking. Front signal is Functioning normally. without going into too much detail. I would like to ask what the reason can be ? the day before, Thursday night, I had charged the grounded battery By removing it and connecting it to noco genius 5. Everything was functioning at the middle of the night. I was not driving it since six months. Can anybody tell me what to look for ?

The rear left signal is not blinking, but is it staying on or off?

Have you checked the blinker fluid?

Is there corrosion in the bulb socket?
Are you sure the bulb is good?

No sign of corrosion. Checked it with multimeter also. I changed the bulb with a new one.

So with the multimeter on DC volts and testing at the socket, you can see voltage alternating between +12V and 0V ("blinking")?

EDIT: Without a bulb in the circuit there may not be enough load on the flasher relay to cause the voltage to "blink". Is there at least a solid +12V at the socket?

How about the Ground (or earth)? Is there continuity from the socket to the battery (-) terminal?

are you sure it's the correct bulb? maybe try swapping with the bulb from the rear right signal?

I was able to check it now. All dead

It looks like you have a broken wire. Hope this wiring diagram helps you trace it. Good luck!

Edit: I'd double check the switch and the bulb, and then check them again. These would be much easier to replace than tracing a broken wire.

Oh ! All right. I need to postpone the test date thanks for everything. I will check the switch, too.

OK, so no current going to the rear left blinker.

There is only 1 explanation: there is an interruption in the wiring somewhere.

Earlier you wrote:
"Controlled the Wiring till the rear socket with a multimeter."

What section of the wiring exactly did you check? Did you check it all the way down to the turn indicator device?
