I've read everything I could find on here about front suspension (rear doesn't seem to be as popular unless essential) and am looking at two options:

Bitubo black edition

BGM Pro SC/F16 comp

Whilst looking to improve the handling this is as much about aesthetics so would be keen to hear if anyone has experience of either?

Thanks in advance…

We put a BGM on the front of my mates GTS, it certainly changed the ride, more solid at speed, did not bother changing rear as he is not heavy, but if you ride 2 up and heavy, then yes, spend a bit more coin on the rear, it can only help, ps BGM are only designed in Germany to get the TUV certificate, and made in India, if that helps, we only found that out later.

Thanks that's really useful.

I've just fitted the 13" BGM wheels and they're brilliant!

Love the look of the BGM over the Biturbo if honest although more expensive.

I tend to ride solo and about 82 kg so rears don't feel necessary tbh.

Thanks again

The BGM has rebound adjust, the Bitubo doesn't. The BGM has a 13.5mm shaft and the Bitubo has 12mm. The Bitubo is a bigger brand ...

Thank you.

Does this mean it will increase the ride height by being longer?

Will that have implications in how it fits around the caliper in terms of the length of the cables that are already in place?

Sorry - a million questions that you may not know; just thinking on the hoof of what may/may not be an issue…

Shaft *thickness* not length. Thicker should be more robust

I wouldn't totally ignore the rear suspension.

You can get a set of polyurethane bushings from Clauss Studios, and leave the OEM shocks in place. It will tighten up the rear a bit, clean up a bit of the slop, and give you better control in the corners.

Pretty cheap ($20) and easy to install (just undo the top nuts). It's a nice upgrade.

Whichever you buy, make sure you adjust it *properly* in particular the preload

Yes, have read about these and for $20 it's a no-brainer!

Thanks for the recommend!

Personally I use Buchsenfuchs as the are apparently harder than stock and softer than clauss
