Have tried the search function but it turned up not a lot.

Toolbox, spare tyre support, wheel covers and seat are readily available. Not tóó silly priced either in the light of low production involved.
Nevertheless find very few replicas made.
Are there pit falls or is it simply not very popular (like the originals flopped).

Btw not aiming for a true replica or what and will most likely go for a MotoVespa 75 as basis and have my son 3D print a set of SS75 badges

I have a real SS90 (blue) and a replica (black). For the replica I started with one that was sort of halfway done, and I mostly completed it. Cutting down the frame is the big impediment. You have to sacrifice an original bike for something that many people believe handles worse and is less convenient. My frame (a '66 Sears) was already cut down, so I don't have to feel guilty for that.

The proper SS frames were slightly shorter than most other smallframe models and had a couple of additional, minor variations. Take that into account. Other SS specific parts are front fender, kickstand, and headset.

Finally, also pictured is a replica SS50 I found on display in Camden Yards, London.

Thank you for the reply and explanations.
Also for sharing the photos.

Will most definitely NOT cut up a chassis. I whole heartedly agree with the pov of making a mongrel with that.
There are enough early small frame short 1165 mm wheel base chassis models for sale here. Even 1155 (9" wheels) and 1160 wheelbase ones!
MotoVespa has several short chassis 75 models. Afaik even an 1160 mm 75 Primavera.
Looking further into that though.
EDIT: the 75 Primavera is 1180.

Not going for the narrower, more downward angled head set. The narrower being minor anyway with the short wheel base ones over here.

The front mudguard of the first and second series are supposed to be different between them too and at least for the moment not looking for that level of perfection
Not sure I like the spare wheel covers btw and as it is not going to be replica may skip on those.
