Literally the last job I have to do on this is to install the intake boot. It was missing when I got the bike and I have a brand-new one.

Is the air box end of the boot supposed to fit over the inlet of the air box? I just barely got the frame end of the boot over its flange and that was way closer in size. I'm worried about ruining it.

You can warm it in boiling water to get it stretchier. It's still going to be a pain to do and you're going to want to remove the air box cover so you can get at it from the inside, too.
