Google isn't helping, nor the search engine on teh site...it appears CoolAss seat covers is no more. Anyone else have another good option? Just enjoyed some quality hot cheek time with me and my wife after only a 10 minutes stop and would love to replace my black rain cover with something that would help with the heat for both of us.

Thanks,
Eric

Just to clarify, you're looking for something that's a parking cover that's reflective or not black? I was initially going to point towards Cheeky Seats, but it sounds like that's not quite your use case (i.e. a non-black seat provided by a form-fitting cover)?

SELF-EDIT: yeah, the CoolAss one looks like straight mylar or something--a little different. Half kidding: why not buy a helium balloon that's long enough and just slip it on and close?

The dark covers are great for rain but bake your butt when it's 100 farenheit and sunny.

FYI: The 2 smaller sizes ships from the manufacturer and not from Amazon. The largest ships from Amazon.

I do have a "CoolAss" reflective seat cover. It really was not designed for weather as much as keeping your seat cool in the hot sun while parked.

I think some of the posters are missing the point. You can buy many seat covers to protect your seat from rain or the elements. CoolAss kept it cool.

Regrettably, he closed his business. The owner, I think, was running a one man side business and simply closed shop. He provided great personal service and was routinely on this forum. He will be missed.

He told me he sold allot of his reflective seat covers in Texas where the blistering sun could cook your behind. Especially after parking your black seat covered motorcycle in the sun while stopped for lunch or a bar.

I keep a piece of light color linen under my seat and wrap it around before shutting it if in sunlight. I have a sheepskin on the main part, I do this to keep my wife comfortable if she is with me.

I have the sport seat with an attached seat cover (black) I have used it twice now (one day was 102F) and it did the job, seat was warm but not hot like it was when I didn't use the cover.

I have the same cover, but it did diddly squat since I had to park in the sun...or at least that's my memory. Maybe I need to try it again and see if it's better than I remember.

Maybe you could make a seat cover out of the reflective side of an emergency survival blanket and some elastic or Velcro, sort of like a Cool-Ass cover.

Those ScooterWest ones are reversible and have a reflective layer per the video in their description.

I got mine from Scooterwest, but it's black on both sides. Maybe they have new dual sided ones...I'll message them to verify!

Thanks,
Eric

I used to carry a towel to cover the seat. It's ugly, won't work in wind, but keeps the sear cooler.
