Modern Vespa

My odo' trip button doesn't seem to work. I push it to do anything and nothing happens. I was trying to reset the trip miles.
Any ideas?

Might sound crazy, but are you holding it down long enough.

yep, I've tried everything I can think of.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a short while to reset everything, could just be a bug

Well I disconnected the battery and I could clear trips A and B but only by using the mode button the odo/trip button is still functionless.

I get the impression that the odo/trip button is redundant. The mode does the same thing, unless something is up with mine.

What year is your scoot

2021 MP3 500. Other than that the bike is great. Come winter I figure I will dig into the front end cowling (so much plastic... arg) Maybe I got a Gremlin in there, see if I can flush him out.

Imho opinion if it is not that important let it be, otherthings more expensive can break trying to get to them pesky switches, have you tried setting the time to see if they work at all.

I have been in there couple times before for other things so I am not too intimidated. yes everything works, except that button and thanks for the suggestion of disconnecting the battery that at least cleared the trip meters and saved stats.

Just had a look at my scoot, quite similar to yours except mine is 2019, odo switch and double tap mode all works good, so sadly looks like that needle under the rubber boot has a contact problem.

the button codes to do stuff on the MP3 are designed to be the most unintuitive ever.
