Hello everyone!

I purchased a 2016 Vespa Primavera 50cc (70th anniversary edition) last week. It has been riding well with one small exception- the engine quits on me randomly.

It usually starts on the second try and then will run well for awhile until I begin to feel the engine sputter a bit and then ultimately quit out. It doesn't happen every ride, but at least once every 5-10 miles it would seem. After stalling out, the engine is hard to restart again without a few minutes break and requires revving to get back to a steady idle. While starting, it cranks just fine and almost sounds like the throttle isn't sending enough fuel to the carb? Once it gets running again it usually has no trouble until this happens again.

Also, it happened 3 times within just a few miles with two riders (not sure if this was a coincidence or related somehow)

I have tried:
- checking spark plug. It looks great
- loosening the fuel cap
- orienting the fuel filter to keep the bubble on the tank side

I believe the carb was replaced in the last year by the dealer.

I would like some help to get back on the road with a reliable scoot! Please let me know how I can better troubleshoot. Thanks everyone
