Hello all,

I recently purchased a 2024 GTS Super Sport and love it. I previously had an ET4 and the underseat storage was big enough to store a fullsize helmet. The GTS underseat storage space is limited.

I have a top box fitted but I often carry a passenger so the top box is used for the passenger helmet. Does anyone know of a helmet (open-face is fine) that fits in the underseat storage area?

Thank you.

Have you tried hanging them off the fangs under the seat?

I'm not sure if the US spec compartments have a notch out for the evap system?

As for helmet choice, look at Vespa's own brand of helmets, as I'm pretty sure they've been designed to fit. I believe the GTS is meant to be capable of carrying two open face helmets under the seat.

Vespa often do special editions, but the VJ and VJ1 are nice solid staples. They've both got tinted specs built in, and my last VJ1 has a liner that clipped in, so you could chuck it in the washing machine.

The only difference between VJ and VJ1 is the face shield element, but both have the tinted visor anyway.

I've had lots of different open face helmet seats in my Sprint, as well as my previous Elettrica and they all fit - so I assume the GTS would be the same.

There are a couple of options to swap out the pet carrier for a larger one. Not sure if they will work for US models with the evap system in place.

ScooterWest carries this one, which is a Vespa OEM part - right now it's $145. They refer to it as a "Wider Style" bucket. Not sure this will hold a full face, but I would start with this one.

SIP carries the "Big Box" underseat bucket, and it is quite a bit larger than the stock unit. Pricey ($308), but it will definitely get the job done. The pic below shows it easily handles a full face helmet.

here's the Big Box website as well...

Thank you all for the recommendations. Makes sense Vespa might have a model that would work. I doubt the storage would hold 2 tho after trying my Bell 500. The Vespa ones are arent quite as tall I think. A larger bucket would be nice. I'll give Scooterwest a call and see if their options fit the new model. I'll report back on what they say.

Thanks again.

I bought this one as a passenger helmet and it fits under the seat. I believe most half helmets do.

I have a 2019 Primavera 150. I removed the EVAP system and got a non EVAP Bucket from SIP. A full face still does not fit. Neither does a 3/4. It barely makes it with the whole bucket empty and of course the brain beanie fits fine. I just hang whatever I am wearing on the handlebar and hope nobody steals it. I live in a not so great area of Long Island known as Brentwood...
