I felt the Vespa bag hook in the seat wasn't quite up to my preferences.
If I had plastic, I could shut the hook and it worked ok, but if I had a small pack with a thicker handle, it did work. It would bounce out.
Thought of several different ways with various hooks that mounted on flat surfaces. But why spend mo money for a simple project?
I had a bag of hook eyes I'd purchased earlier for tools, chords, and bungees. And I had a carabiner that would hold straps or bag handles.
So, I attached the hook eye to the Vespa bag hook and can hook my carabiner through it for holding my pack with a wide strap without worrying it will come loose. I can remove the carabiner if I don't want it hanging loose. It hangs just right without rattling if empty.
