Today I incautiously turned the handlebars on my '09 Beverly too far to get out of the road quickly, although at a crawl I nearly fell over with my right leg underneath I had my hand on the front brake lever and when I heaved to get the bike upright, (straining my right hamstring in the process), I applied so much pressure that the hose ruptured a few inches from the caliper! Wha? emoticon

Removing it was a PITA with all the plastic crap in the way, and as usual with scooters it was a puzzle to take pieces off in the right order to get to the next part to remove. Anyway it's off. But I cannot locate a new hose (Piaggio #600878)...

There seem to be plenty of universal hoses, that can be ordered in either 110 or 120 cm (I measure 115 cm center-to-center of the banjo fittings). I may have to use one of those - is there any source of an original replacement? All the ones on ebay are "pre-owned" What The? emoticon Thanks for any help.

thanks... but out here in small-town western Crete there are not many (if any) shops that can do that kind of fabrication. Shipping from the US can take a significant amount of time due to customs processing, too I'll check with a couple of moto places in Chania...

I order parts for my BV via the easyparts webshop. Maybe also available in Greece.

But unfortunately every part of the complete braking system of a 2009 BV is still available, except the hoses, apparantly.
