Hello,

I'll be overnight in Bath (in the UK) next month and would like to go by scooter.

I see that the Southgate multi-storey car park close to the centre has motorbike spaces on two of its levels. It's a smart looking car park and is free for motorbikes. I can think of car parks in other cities which I would not go near, but this one looks OK.

I've never left my 2023 Primavera in a multi-storey car park during the day, let alone overnight, which is what I would need to do.

I'd be interested if anyone has left a scooter through the night in a multi-storey car park. I can understand the risks and ultimately that's a judgement call.

thanks for reading and grateful for any comments

Dave

Funny enough I was there a few years back on my BMW GS1200 parked overnight with a disklock on bike all was OK, Bath is not London.

Grab one of these for the rear wheel , always useful for other places, if you have the spoked wheels.

Looks like a pricey carpark, which means it should be either manned, or have decent cameras etc.

On the website it says the barriers are shorter to allow motorcycles to squeeze through without payment, but on the google review - it seems someone didn't see this and entered their reg number, meaning full payment

thank you Jake M and flybynight for your comments. I visit Bristol a lot and I don't think I'd be leaving my scooter in any of the multi-storeys I've come across there. The one in Bath does look modern-ish and smart. I take the point about an extra lock on a wheel. Dave.

If you pay is there some obligation for the company to provide security?
