One of the things that always attracted me to Vespas is the design. I love the leg shield, the shape of the back end (que Sir Mix-a-Lot), etc.

I ran across this photo today and thought it was pretty cool.

Also known as...'THE ZUNDAPP FROM MARS'

If I'm not mistaken, I think that's the one that had the rotating radial engine in the front wheel?

I believe that only one, or possibly two of those were constructed, and their whereabouts was unknown, though I think that I read someplace that one of them was in the US and was being restored....but that could just be BS. Time will tell.

(Little known Backlund historical trivia is in order here...his firstest ever motorbike was a severely used 1955 ZUNDAPP 250, purchased by his father for him in 1965 for $75. It ran...sometimes)

Yep. That's a front-wheel engine, captured during WWII.

I believe it was a Killinger & Freund.
