I've been using a rev counter for the last 4 or 5 years without issue on my PX. Recently the fuel warning light is always on and fuel gauge will read half a tank even when full. Checked my float in the gas tank, but it seems fine. No gas in it. I disconnected the connection to the sensor and the speedo will read exactly the same as it is plugged in, so I'm thinking something electrical.

My PX doesn't have a reserve, so it would be nice if I could get fixed. Any suggestions? Don't even no where to begin.

Sounds like something wrong in the gauge, since there is no change after disconnecting the sensor

Thanks for the reply.
I think I figured it out, but another problem. The ground from the starter motor had disconnected. Reattached it but now the threads holding the bolt is stripped Have no idea how to fix that. It's holding for now.

After reconnecting the ground still no go, but then I remembered that I wasn't sure if I reconnected the main wiring harness into the speedo the right way around since there are no instructions for the right way up. Switched it and everything is working fine!

New issue though. My front right turn signal is not working. Changed the bulb, but still nothing. The rest are fine.

grounding issues can cause all sorts of gremlins to pop up. Double check your grounds for that turn signal
