Hi,
I removed the evap and the SAS tube.
(After removing the SAS tube is runs so much better)

The scooter runs great for about a mile then dies. I was not able to restart it.

So I checked the old and it was over filled. I had a ton of gas in the fuel.

I didn't over fill the tank.

Why do you think this is happening. It has low miles but has been sitting outside for a while.

Why do you think it is happening?
Thanks

Most likely two problems.

1) your vacuum fuel tap has failed and is letting fuel flow even when the engine is not running
2) the float in your carburetor is stuck and is letting fuel run unchecked into the bowl. The bowl fills up and overflows. The overflowing fuel runs down the intake manifold, into the cylinder, past the rings, and into your oil

Fix #2 first.
#1 should be checked after the carb float is fixed.

The reason the motor quits after about a mile is because all the fuel overflowing into the intake.

Thanks.
I found that the evap hose was blocked going to the carb.
I put a new one on there after an oil change and it is running like a champ.

A month ago I put a new fuel tap in.
For now I will install a shut off after the fuel tap.
Hopefully I don't have to get back into the carb to clean and adjust it again.
Thanks![/quote]
