Hello
Im trying to replace the starter motor on my 2007 LX50 2 stroke.
I am having issues locating it. I saw a youtube video showing i gave to remove the exhaust, then rear wheel to access it.
Is this correct?

It's under the centre stand towards the front of the engine.
I have only taken one off an engine that was off the frame but I imagine taking the centre stand off would make it easier to get at (3 bolts).
I don't think taking the rear wheel off would help. Taking the exhaust off might help getting a socket in there I guess, not sure if it's necessary.
The actual starter has 2 bolts holding it on.

You could have just as easily said, "think of the worst possible place on a scooter engine to put a starter motor and look there."
I think putting them under the engine is likely why Piaggios go through starter motors quicker than any other 50cc scooter I've seen.
