Thank you, I like the color too. It's called Giallo Positano I think^^
A Knarp is the little cylinder shaped doodad on a clutch or throttle cable. That's the nomenclature they picked somehow years ago. They are a good group of riders and people.
I'm happy to read that this yellow Vespa in the sun or shade speaks to other enthusiasts too. Have a wonderful Spring Miguel.
Best,

Giallo means yellow in Italian. And Positano is on the Amalfi coast in Italy, just below Naples - it's supposed to be a beautiful area with spectacular sunsets and also I think quite a few of the very old buildings in Positano have a yellow color that verges on golden -- so
Giallo Positano is probably an homage to the glowing golden hues of this spot. Makes sense to me.
I like the prosaic origin of 'Knarp' but I keep thinking that the word perhaps might have another hidden meaning (since it sounds like gnome to me) - maybe the Knarps are a secret tribe of mechanically-inclined little people, aka leprechauns or gnomes, with a fondness for 2-wheeled locomotion on miniature mopeds?!
Also, not unlike Sasquatch, Knarps have almost never been spotted by human beings but on the rare occasions when they do appear, they gravitate towards Vespas.
