Just wanted to start a thread to document jetting for those who may need advice on similar builds. I've done a lot of searching both here and on Italian forums but have found a dearth of information regarding VR-One builds.

Here's where I am on this current build (engine only broken in for 130 miles thus far):
VR-One cases, with Malossi-supplied reeds
Malossi 210 Sport (current model)
SIP Road 2 exhaust
SIP fast flow fuel tap
P200 gearing
Dell'Orto PHBH 30 carb
Main Jet 136
Pilot jet 64 (seems large but engine behaving correctly, 2.5 turns out on mixture screw)
AS264 atomizer (AS266 remained annoyingly rich at 1/4 throttle)
X13 needle (2nd clip position)
40 throttle slide

Cylinder head temperature in the low 200's F, but haven't yet done any highway runs.

Open to feedback/questions. I'll continue to dial in as break-in continues and will update when/if necessary. FWIW I've tried various combinations of AS266 atomizer, 50 slide, x2 needle, etc).

Thanks.

What ignition and timing are you running?

Thanks, Ginch. Forgot to include this. Ducati original stator/cdi. BGM flywheel. 17 degrees currently. As Malossi recommends 18, I will bump it up for more testing. Squish is 0.9 mm.

Moved the timing to 18 degrees at 2000 rpm. Running better at city speeds.

Watching with interest. I am doing a similiar build, but so far it's still a pile of new parts in boxes on the bench.

I don't think you mentioned what crank you are using. I went with a 60mm Mazzucelli bell crank and a short 4th gear. Otherwise, it's the same build.

Best of luck dialing it in. I'm a little daunted by the PBHB 30. Sounds like an exciting build.

Thanks for your interest. I'm using a Mazzucchelli full circle crank with 57mm stroke. Standard p200 4th. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Regarding the PHBH, it seems daunting when you first go from the SI to it. However, it is rather logical if you take it one step at a time.

My experience is that the AS atomizer is easier to dial in than the AV, which runs really rich in the mid range.

On this build the only curious thing to me was the size of the pilot jet. It seemed large to me but the idle wouldn't settle down below a 60. Today I'm trying the 60 instead of the 64. Still at 2.5 turns. I will then move to the 62 if it still seems too lean.

Another thing I changed today is the throttle slide, going from a 40 to a 50. The slide affects mixture up to 1/4 throttle. There are many 25-30 mph zones near my house that are regularly radar-patrolled. In 3rd, 1/4 throttle on this build is about 3800rpm at 30mph. With the 40 slide it was annoyingly rich there. The 50 slide leaned it out and cleaned it up quite a bit.

Thanks for posting up this, its always nice to see what others are running.

I'm running similar set up: phbh 30 on a 57 stroke rotary Malossi 210(old style).
I've worked it down to a 135main. It might take one more step down, but I'm pretty happy with it overall. I'm running a x2 needle, 266 atomizer, 50 idle jet,
and I'd have to check the slide number.
I like the PHBH carb for its fairly easy setup, and ability to supply enough fuel for tuned touring builds. There are bigger 'better' newer carbs out there, but the Dello has been a good overall performer for a long time.

Are you running the AS or the AV atomizer?
