Modern Vespa

Hello Modern Vespa people. I've been motorbike riding since i was 16.

That was a LONG time ago...Dirt bikes, street bikes, you name it, I 'll ride it.

Got my first Vespa today.

A 2022 GTS 300. Went for a little ride to check it out. Much quicker than I thought it would be. I keep trying to use use the clutch that isn't there. LOL
Espescially when coming to a stop/down shift.

Beautiful weather here in SoCal so I can ride almost anytime I like.

I just wanted to say Howdy and look forward to seeing where this Vespa will take me.

Welcome to MV; you made a great choice! That color combo is very striking.

You'll get used to the "no clutch, no footbrake" soon enough, but do take it easy at 1st. You said it's been a long time since you rode, so be aware that riding skills have diminished. You might consider an MSF class as a great refresher.

You'll be hard pressed to outgrow the GTS. It's quick and agile and is able to take you practically anywhere you want to go. It's not an offroad bike, but it can handle packed dirt and gravel roads with care.

Just adding my hearty welcome to MV! (I'm a tad scattered, as I've been traveling the past couple of weeks...)

That is a FINE-looking scoot! I, too, am in SoCal, out in the desert just north of Palm Springs.

You're right...out here we can ride almost any time. I do draw the line (not to be confused w/the Aerosmith LP of the same name) at riding mine when the temp gets above 110 F.
