Looking for some guidance. I searched thru some old posts and have some ideas but I have a few more things that go with my problem.
My 2007 250 MP3 is pretty much a junker that I'm working on as a project. Where I am now is, I turn her on, I have the tilt lock light on because that whole system it shot and needs replacing. I have one beep every second which I believe is the speed senor not working. All that has been going on but she wasn't stuck in just idle. Now, after I cleaned the air filter and put it back, the check engine light is on and I can no longer get her into gear. She only idles. Added to that, when she idles, her RPMs will drop and sounds like she's stalling out but comes back. Hasn't stalled yet. I'm thinking it could not be getting enough air but how? The filter and case are all clean. It could be a coincidence with the air filter or it could be related but I am so lost.

Solve one problem, 20 more come up.

Squirt some carb cleaner through the idle air bypass in the fuel injection unit that should solve your problem. The 3/16 hole on the left hand side from memory.

is it on the center stand and your trying to rev it up?

you need to unlock the the tilt lock or be sitting on the seat. the seat has a sensor in it to prevent it from going over 2200 rpm's.

All good there. I'm sitting on it. It used to work until the air filter.

Thank you very much, it went from a constant idle to it happening intermittently. Hopefully it just needs some run time to clear everything out but at least I know the area of the issue. Thank you, again.

The air filters deteriorate with age and foam particles are inclined to block the idle passage They don't cost much to replace.

Remove the speed sensors and clean the crap which tends to accumulate on them check continuity on the cables from the roll lock ecu to the sensors they tend to fracture after a while.
