Sorry if this has been asked, but couldn't find the exact issue and this is a bit urgent.

Jump started 2012 GTS300 last night after accidentally letting battery die. (Car was off when jump starting.) Charged battery overnight. (Battery tender indicated it was over 80%) This morning all lights come on when key turned but everything immediately dies when attempting start. Not even seat unlock.

Ordered new battery just in case, will test current battery when I get home. But does anyone have a sense that this a dead battery, a fuse issue post jump or anything else?

Thanks!

Sounds like the battery is not holding a full charge. A multi meter will come in handy here to test it, or take it to an auto store to have it load tested.

Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key on, and hear the starter relay click when you hit start? If you don't hear these it's probably a fuse issue. Otherwise, I'd say it's the battery.

If it were my scooter, I'd disconnect the cables (negative off first, then positive, reverse order when you reconnect them) and clean the terminals and the cable ends, then reconnect them. A loose or dirty connection will cause exactly what you describe, and other than the few minutes it takes the whole process is free.

Thank you! This might have been it. Not sure why it wasn't an issue earlier but cleaned corrosion off positive terminal. Seems to start now.

This kind of thing happens often enough in your climate that you should try to remember for the next time. It happens to cars, too.
