It's good know what time it is. It would be better to know how much gas!

I've opened it up. Where's the bulb for the backlight of speedo assembly? 2017 300 GTS. All fuses are good. I've looked everywhere.

Do I need a new speedo assembly? Is that how vespa did me?

Everything is buttoned up. No moisture that I can see. I'll do that though.

The picture doesn't show it well, but you can faintly make out the gas levels. Is there a bulb for that?

Its strange. I think I just need a new assembly. Looking at like $200.

Lets hope the moisture bags do it, but if it is sunburnt the LCD film, on old aprillas it was a bit like link below, not sure if can be done on a Vespa speedo.

Isn't it so that the bulbs gives the "red backlight" and the LCD just basically blocks that backlight to form the visible numbers/letters?

I used to have a car with LCD gauges and there a blown bulb resulted in a partially/totally black screen.

That's not a bulb issue, that's a LCD issue. The 1st gen GTS 250 had a LCD screen that could have issues with the polarization film on the screen. You might just need to clean the ribbon connector as mentioned in the second link below.

Here's a thread that details the fix. It can be done DIY, it's just a bit fiddly.

Here's another thread on this as well...

Good Luck!
