Hi everyone,

I am doing a preservative restoration on my 1960 GS150,
and looking to refinish the interior of the fenders and mudguard.

I just cannot find here in Quebec Canada the 3000M fondo nocciola color.

Anyone here has the formula ? so I can go to my local paint shop.

I have Opaque Red on my 61 GS. Yours looks like the Hazel/Beige Max Meyer 3000M like you said. I haven't seen anyone post the mix, just the code. It's tough to find a paint shop knowledgeable enough to have the mix for Max Meyer these days. My best suggestion is to clean a section of that finish and do a light polish then have your paint store use their light gun to get the best match.

I was able today to remove this black tar that covered the rear wheel arch and was able to uncover the brown 3000M original color.
As you said I will polish the flat surface and get the frame to my local paint dealer. They have a portable scanner color, which I hope they can use to scan the paint.
I hope it will work...

Is that colour an undercoat only, or is the top coat that colour? Fondo means base, nocciola is Hazel. And lots of the colours are labelled 3000M.

I looked for the names in my collection and they weren't there. Here's some examples of the 3000M -

BajaRob here is the method to read those codes and translate to PPG. I don't think it works for the metallics however.

yes this coat is for undercoat, all of the external areas where covered with the final scooter color however all of the inside sections, like front mudguard, rear wheel arch, and the 2 fenders were painted just with that undercoat.

there was just the overspray from the outside that partially covered that hazel nut color.

So I am trying to recreate this in my preservative restoration for my gs150.

tomorrow I will know if my paint supplier is able to scan that color directly my scooter.

I'm happy to see your attention to detail in preserving the original look of the inside of body parts.

Is it just my eyes or the lighting, or is that paint way darker than the original hazel?

by applying a little drop of paint over the original color, match is there.
