All,

Does anyone know what the secondary air valve does? Appears its hooked up the EVAP system and also connects to one of the 2 ports on the intake manifold.

It controls fresh air introduced into the exhaust. It's supposed to prevent backfiring of unburnt fuel.

Have a read through this:

How to remove and block lx150 SAS?

When I blocked it off on my GT200, the bike stopped backfiring on deacceleration and was a lot smoother at idle. It's supposed to help unburnt combustion gasses burn hotter and not damage your catalytic converter. I removed the EVAP system and blocked off the SAS. It was a whole different bike after that. No more weird noises at idle, no more worries about overfilling the tank.
