Hello all. I'm a new member here. I'm 70 y/o, have had five consecutive Vespas, and have been riding since I was 17 y/o.
Last month I bought a new 2023 Primavera from my local dealer. First night ride revealed the headlight beam gives "striped" vertical coverage: the first 20' is dark except for a dim jewel-like outline, then a wide but short band of ineffective light, topped by another dark band, and finally a bright, wide, but also short band of light. High beams only add an elevated section. Next day I went to the dealer. Service technician said it was improperly aimed, lowered the pattern, and showed me how he did it. The result was merely raising or lowering this 'Parfait' of alternating light and dark sections. The beam is useless and does not allow for efficient road illumination. Can anyone offer suggestions?
