Over the last week and a half I worked on adding a couple of things to my new Liberty, including a fly screen, top case, cameras, and a CarPlay unit. Finally got everything all buttoned up on Saturday and have been able to finally start using it for my commute.
Piaggio Liberty all kitted out.
Front camera.
Rear camera.
Dash unit.

I have used the side stand. I have found they provide better stability. Especially on slicker surfaces.

Did most of the 10,000 kms. service. That is the belt, rollers and guides, anyway.
Still have to change the air filter, oil, brake fluids, and coolant. I'll do it in stages. At 84 years old, all that getting up and down really makes me sore all over for about 2 weeks afterwards. I'll have someone else do the valve checks. I enjoy the wrenching part, as well as the riding. I have all the tools too. Just need a younger body.

I finally ended the misery of the OEM trapezoidal mirrors. I never felt like I could see well. From Vespa Portland (and others carry them) I got 2024+ Primavera 50/150 mirrors. They are higher up, further out and have a big surface area. Now I can see! This was my first dealing with Vespa Portland. Andrew there was extremely helpful.

I gave my 2025 GTS300 Super Sport it's 30 000km service. New belt, oil&air filter and oil, new back tire.
One thing that always amazes me is how cheap the parts for Vespa is compared to my previous SYM scoot. NZ$10 for an oil filter NZ$16 for an air filter.

We had 48 degrees, 48mph winds, and torrential rain today. Riding was not an option. So I got my flag installed.
After ideas and opinions from MV, and scrubbing the Internet, I had finally found what seemed to be a good solution. From Amazon, I got a mag mount that has a flexible pole. The flexibilty was crucial so as having less chance of becoming a weapon in an accident. I grabbed the pole from it. It's nicely short as well. https://a.co/d/02hP5ffB Then I found a quick release mount from ModQuad Racing. Most others were 3-4" long and had a lot on the underside. This is 1-3/4" and most importantly only the depth of the nut on the underside. https://www.modquad.com/product/flag-mount-1-4-and-5-16-billet/ (I comes in some useful colors, too.) I centered a hole on the topcase, right up close the the backrest pad. By adding a washer on the underside, it allowed for good tightening. In my spare parts collection, I had a black formed disk (I think it was from a ceiling light fixture where it would hold the glass in place with a decorative nut.) A little silicone sealant top and bottom, and it was all set. The result is clean and good.

cdwise, Very cool. I think anyone with a Vespa should have this instead of the Piaggio badge.

Did an early belt change at 4500km cause it started cracking and I don't want any surprises on the trip to Rome for the 2026 Vespa World Days (80 Years). Also, oil and filter, coolant (2 years), final drive oil and finished with the front radial caliper / bled the system. We're leaving Greece on the 24th and we'll be in Rome on the 25th. We'll be getting the ferry from Igoumenitsa to Bari and then we'll ride the Autostrada to reach Rome...
