Today ,drain coolant ,fill with distilled water ,run until fan came on , let the engine cool off for few hours, drain again , filled with new coolant, run until fan came on , let engine cool off and checked coolant level. Super easy !

Did a lot over the past month to this new 2025 GTS Super Sport. I thought all the 2025's were 310's but I guess Piaggio had a few left of the 300's because that's the model year listed on the paperwork. Here's a list of all the mods and new parts.
Painted reflector plugs from Scooterwest Notte Seat and matching backrest from SIP Adjustable Sport Lever Set SIP Performance 2025/26 Matte Black OEM switch assemblies from SIP OEM Matte Black Vario cover from SIP Gloss Black luggage rack FA from SIP Turn Signal Kit SIP (clear lens) Body matched painted horn cover (unpainted raw parts were from SIP) Givi 32L Monolock case Gloss Black Extended headlight rim from Scooterwest

Both Rocket and Ghost have been shaking a bit at speeds over around 60 mph.
So I busted out old Marc Parnes to see if the front wheels/tires were out of balance. Did Rocket first and added 14g to the light spot. Ghost was trickier as I couldn't get it perfect, but better than before. I rode Rocket up I-95 up to 73 mph and found it to be smooth again. I will test Ghost this week. Bill

Bill the front off Ghost looks like its cupped and wavy. Balancing MIGHT help some but in my experience when they get to that point its time for a new tire.
check those bearings to ensure they are smooth , also might need to adjust the shock a bit stiffer to prevent this in the future. |

In looking more closely, it does have light cupping. I tested it today, running up near it's top speed, finding the front much smoother than before. I have a new Pirelli Angel in the garage, but will keep this one on for a little longer. Bill |

New tires, Diablo of course.
Balanced the wheels. New tpms. Put a band-aid on my cracked arrow exhaust mid-pipe. Calibrated asr. Updated my app to work with the new tpms. Stuck a couple of new trackers on it. |

Fitted new front and rear SIP shocks to my 2022 Vespa 300.
Still haven't managed to get the swing arm off the scoot. Going to a scooter specialist shop tomorrow morning, hopefully can remove . Will be able to check / change rear brake pads then. |

Just been out on the Vespa with the new shocks.
Felt better, small ripple road surface much smoother. Have just set the sag on the front shock as per the SIP tutorials. The ride height without me on the scooter was 230mm, measured from the centre of the front hub, to a mark on the front mudguard. When I sat on the scooter, this dropped to 220mm. SIP recommend a sag of 20mm from static with the rider onboard. Backed off the preload, very easy to do with the tools included. |

New tone wheel to release a extra bit of speed to the top end, and a more accurate speedometer.
Just calibrated. Also fitted the Innovv Third Eye lane device. Bit of a faff threading the cables from front to rear of scooter, took much longer than expected. Been out on it, works well. I have the warning indicators fitted on to the mirrors, as I thought this was the most logical place to put them. |

I have the same sort of system on my car.
A red light illuminates when something is in your left or right blindspot. Very easy and intuitive without really looking. The red light is a natural warning system alert. Glad you are happy with your solution

Finished this job yesterday. I don't have enough words in my cussing vocabulary to describe what a pain this was. Getting it apart was easy: getting the damn muffler back on took a lot of time and sweat (it was HOT in the garage), but finally got it. What a stupid design!
Anyway, the new tire is on, and I went for a nice cooling ride before supper. That cheered me up considerably!

Installed a Puig Touring screen.
For me, much better protection from the standard Piaggio flyscreen. Has a different installation method from the standard fittings. Also, fitted a oil pan with a sight glass. Andised silver, bit of a faff to install, but much easier to check the engine oil level now.

The oil pan sight window should be factory installed on the new 300's.
It makes me cringe watching my Buddy mess with his dip stick...... |

Changed the insurance company, and got lower, but not low price. So 633euros changed to 393e/year.
All these "hard to see" windows of oil pan, brake stuff and coolant -all could be helped if scooter had a button which lights leds inside these. |

Mike Holland wrote: My GTS was making a clunk-clunk noise when I went over bumps. First thought it was the lid of the top-box, so I modified the lock to reduce the play there, but that didn't fix it. Then I discovered that the play was in the hook that connects the box to the carrier at the back, so I wrapped a piece of rubber hose around the carrier where the hook engages, and problem is now solved. |

A bit of bling, and a flasher relay that beeps.
Very difficult to get to the relay without taking the glove box off. Didn't take tha glove box off, so the flasher relay is now secured with a cable tie. Also, changed out the headlight cowl to a black one. The previous owner has mounted a flyscreen so close to the flyscreen and cowl that it was marked up.

Used a dozen zip ties to repair the front guard. Also needed a couple of bolts to put the crest back on.
Bit of double sided tape to hold the leg shield trim in place. Drained the oil from the airbox. Washed her. Tweaked the forcemaster. Test rode.

This kit works quite well for plastic, for me, anyway.
