Mostly regular maintenance. I've done the basics myself: changed the gear oil, swapped spark plugs, and cleaned the carburettor a few times. I've also fitted a new brake cable and replaced a few bulbs. Nothing too major.

How many spark plugs did you change? Two, three or all four?

It is important to clean the carburetor several times. After the seventh cycle, a performance increase of up to 10% is possible! You have a Vespa GTS 300, Right? Or is it already a 310?

The second spark plug is adjacent to the auxiliary carburettor. It's easy to miss.

Have you replaced the spring inside the gearbox filter?? It's very important to do on every oil change or the gearbox oil pressure will drop causing gear jumping…

Accidentally popped the horn button off. Snapped it back on - but now when I press it, it doesn't spring back. (So the horn keeps sounding.). Whoops!

I'll eventually have to figure out how to fix it. Probably about the same time I fix the ignition/key jamming when I try to turn it on...

Charged the battery, as I tend to do once or twice a winter.
Checked first the voltage. it was 12,72V, so really no need to charge, but, still, did it. It took 1 minute 40 seconds charge

Hi, new to the group and this is my first post.
Yesterday i did a CVT belt, roller, and clutch spring replacement, changed the worn out leg shield trim from silver to black, added a blinker module for the brake light, and also an apple car play device for maps.

Today I took it easy and just added a couple of stickers.

Next weekend will be a coolant flush, oil and filter change, and gear oil change. Brake fluid is also scheduled but might have to wait until I have more time to spend.

My scoot sat for a few years before I found her and I'm assuming all the normal stuff needs done.

I found you can carry two new 700c ( 27.5") bicycle tyres , by placing one side on the seat and the other on the floorboards. Eg sitting inside the hoop.

Couldn't be simpler. Especially when I thought the tyres would come folded flat in a 4"X2" X 9" box like the last ones …..duh

Such a beautiful new frame, maybe you should have it galvanized before painting. It would last forever.

I installed the Bluetooth proximity circuit with its 6-hour timer (I don't need it active 24/7). Now, to unlock the seat, my phone must be within 3 meters of the MP3.

After this proof of concept, I want to see if I can use it to activate the backlights for the buttons on the center console, especially the ignition switch, but if possible, only if is night or low light without need of a lot of extras.

Yes.

The mp3 seat can be opened without a key or any else if the steer is not in lock position (is a button that activated a solenoid) so if a person stops for in example a fast errand and don't lock the direction (in the mp3 case, some times in narrow place move the wheels and lock is not practical at all) anyone can open the seat and stole anything.

Then I find a small circuit that play with the BT proximity (and is BT LE so is really low current from the battery, as an extra I add a 6 hours timer) and if is in range activated a relay that in my case allow the button to open the seat, if out of range the button can be pressed and nothing happens.

Got a 2022 Sei Giorni with 123 miles on it in November of last year and really itching to take it for a good ride. In the meantime I connected a quick disconnect for a trickle charger, new LED headlamp and purchased a brake lock. I also installed the brown leather seat that the original owner threw in with the sale. Several other items on my wish list but want to take iot for a good ride before I puchase too many accessories and still looking to sell my Piaggio Fly.

My bike has 20 k miles, its been 6k miles since last service, so time for a little maintenance. I am off the owner's manual schedule as a few services were done early as the bike was in the shop for a replacement seal or two. While the warranty work was being done, I just told the techs to do the full service.

My plan is the full belt service, air and belt filters, oil change, and let the techs do the valve adjustment when I have time to get down with the bike to the shop.
Yesterday I pulled the bike apart, I did quite a bit of the maintenance on my 2013 GTS. Taking apart the new 23 is a tad more difficult. Not bad, gave myself plenty of time to examine all the differences (like the way the side skirts attach).

Belt looks good, but Piaggio says 6 k, so 6 k it is.

The idler pulley were rough, not sure why, bearings seemed dryish, outer plastic has all kinds of rub marks. It was black with dirt. Instead of cleaning it, I ran down to Scooterwest and picked up a new wheel for 25 bucks. Good deal.

Cleaned up all the dust (not bad at all) inside the case and on the variator and clutch. Much less than the 2013. Maybe it's the shorter mileage interval, maybe the belt filter is more effective.
I used non chlorinated brake dust cleaner. Again, not much to clean on clutch/variator, but I did run out of cleaner. I read somewhere I can use isopropyl alcohol and a rag and wipe down the inner case. Any feedback?

I'm just too lazy at the moment to go out, plus the local auto zone is probably closed.

One cool maintenance point (for me, anyway). I used a Craftsman breaker bar with a 3/4 inch head, for the 19 mm clutch and variator nut. It's about 2 plus feet long, and very heavy. What a pleasure to just lean into to and take off the nuts. Unlike using my normal 3/8" socket with an extension.

addendum:

I left the bike all apart all week, and cleaned and detailed the rear end. Took off both skirts and shortened (Robot's mod on his 23) the rear fender. Looks great.
After I got done and bolted it all back together, I have two small screws and two tiny rubber grommets left over. I wrote a note for each bolt I took off, regarding where it belongs. My note said rear taillight, but I don't remember. Oh well. Didn't test ride it yet, got late, I'm pooped.

1. fixed the alignment of my scoot by using a bit of rubber around the top of the front shock where it goes through the triangle bracket to keep it centred while the washer and nut tightens down on the bushings.
more info: YSS G Top Line shocks on GTS -> I like them! (Post 2769046)

2. found and fixed the rattle in the front. it was inside the headlight (same as zelioni but without the logo). a screw on one of the big lenses was loose (top screw on left lens in pic). see the while powder caused by the rubbing as it rattled

3. new diablo for the rear (and balanced of course)
see white powder at top screw on the large lens to the left
