Modern Vespa

I am genuinely surprised that (AFAICT) nobody has yet discovered the All Topics view. I actually built it for search engines as an alternative to a site index, at a moment in time when I was having trouble making an on-demand dynamic site index that didn't hammer the database mercilessly.

I've since solved the site index performance problem with some strategic cacheing and better organization. But the "All Topics" view remains. It's linked down at the bottom of every page (look at the copyright line).

All Topics organizes topics by the specific date they were started. There is a dynamically-generated page for every single day that a new topic was started. And a day is defined in UTC time, not your local time zone.

I don't think it is genuinely useful for humans, but it is at least somewhat interesting to peruse.

Like I said, I don't know if it is actually useful for humans. It was made for the machines, after all. The need to know which topics were started on a specific day is… vanishingly small.
