Recently my wife and I were in northern Michigan (Ludington to be exact) and had taked our scooters to do some touring around the area. Really beautiful riding along the lake Michigan shoreline up there. That is until my better half over corrected a turn and put her LX into the shoulder of the road which caused her to crash.

Fortunatly we were turning into a Meijer parking lot so were not moving very quickly, and also the person that pulled into the parking lot behind us was a nurse, and Ludington hosipital was only 3 miles away so the ambulance was there quickly. Terrible situation with the best possible scenario.

She was unconscious for 15-20min, fractured her check, possibly her elbow, some serious road rash, mild concussion, varous scrapes and bruses but otherwise fine.

The LX, front left faring completly stoved in, front axil and fork bent.

I have no clue what happened, she was 10ft behind me so I didn't see it.

fastforward a couple of weeks, shes healing nicely and I am contemplating what to do with my Stella.

I've crashed a bike before, nothing near what happened to her. But after a week or so of being shaken up I fixed my scoot and got back into the saddle.

Maybe not this time, however, I don't know and I think if I sell my Stella in a year or two I might regret it so now I am thinking of mothballing it.

Anyone out there have any tricks for long term storage? Obviously stable in the gas tank, maybe start it every now and then to lube the seals.... any other recomendations?

Thanks in advance
