I've been away from this forum for a long time. I'm Jim. I have a 2009 MP3 500 (red!)
I got taken away to the big city for health reasons, and some folks took care of my house, but not my scooter, in my absence.
It was left outside under a tree all this time, seven years. It has lichens growing on the seat. The turn signals are smashed and hanging, so it's fallen over some. I don't know if it will start because I cannot find the key.
I don't want sympathy; I have a transplanted heart now, and I'm grateful to be alive. My balance is a little sketchy sometimes, so I'm probably not riding anymore.
I know the scoot ran great the last time it ran. It has 10-12,000 miles on it, and the current belt only has a couple thousand miles on it. It has a windshield and riding pegs. The tires look OK.
What are my options?

welcome back, glad to hear you got a fresh heart to keep on kicking it.
the scooter , you should have had 2 keys, did you check the safe or designated spare key areas. maybe hidden a key on the scoot? Also check you gear jackets pockets or you helmet.
there are some tricks to open the seat if need be with out a key so you can access the battery to charge but probably replace it since its been 7 years.
I would get a pump and pump out the gas in the tank. Check the air filter to ensure no critters are living there. check oil level for now. change it later after you get it running.
I will send you a private message on how to get the seat to open.
