Hello from France!
I bought a mp3 350 lt sport with 30000 miles on it. Very stable machine and seems to have no problem.

I drove the mp3 back to home and I noticed a slightly lack of power and it was hard to pass 65mph.

So, I made a service with a new spark plug, Malossi air filter, Motul 7100 15w50 oil.

I did a new test with same problem. I did not own a mp3 before so I have no references. My friend who owned a mp3 250 tell me that this is not normal.

I am a little bit lost and don't know what I have to check ? I am thinking of the evap system but when I remove the fuel cap I did not notice any improvement.

Does someone have any idea ?

Thanks for helping me.

Could be as simple as change petrol station and get some better quality petrol.

I put the best unleaded we can find in France (total sp98 exellium). Thanks for the answer. I also think about a clog valve, canister...it seems to be an insidious problem.

30,000 miles on the odometer. Could be any number of causes, especially if you are unsure of previous maintenance done to the scooter. Has the valve clearance been checked/reset recently? A dirty air filter can reduce performance - check and replace as needed. A partially clogged injector can reduce performance - fuel additives with injector cleaner can be obtained at an auto parts store. A more thorough cleaning of the injector is probably a job for a servicing dealer, unless you have some experience at this. You might also check the ignition wire and spark plug cap - poor contact can lead to a weak or intermittent spark, a known problem on the Piaggio engines. Ignition problems can also be traced to the ecu - harder to diagnose but a dealer can check to see if the system has noted any error codes. Good luck with diagnosing a solution.

OK hope it was E5 as that E10 stuff is not great for bikes or scooters, I had a small power problem on my old GS1200 when I once filled the tank with the E10 rubbish, it took a while for the ECU to adjust so power was not great, always remember these new scoots have an ECU that adjust the mixture, I try to stay with SP95 E5 and decent quality brand like Total or BP.
