With the GTS being my sole ride for a bit, I need to get some good rain gear for those downpours here in Florida. What's everyone's favorites?
TIA,
Brian

One word... Frogg Toggs ask for them by name. Light weight, breathable, compacts to almost nothing.

Another vote for Frogg Toggs.
Affordable. Been using them since they came out about 30 years ago. The only negative I've had with them, is after a few uses, you need to reseal the crotch seam. They are very available. Bright colors available so you are more visible in the rain too. |

I hardly ever have to use the pants. I do keep the jacket with me packed away at all times.

frogg toggs rip very easily
if you want a good rain suit you gotta pay. aerostich makes some really good stuff that will last and works don't have the budget for that Duluth trading has a Alaskan hard rear line and the rain suit is very good. You can also get bibs for the pants. I have had mine for 3 years now and it has worked very well in a hurricane storm when we rode to the start of 2021 scootercannonball in maine. My previous rain suite was from harley davidson and it also was a good one but after 15 years it was time. the jacket still in good shape but the pants were just worn out. |

I've been using a Nelson Rigg Stormrider set for several years and it keeps me warm and dry in bad weather. It's very well made and really durable. I got the Hi Viz yellow/green, but there is Harley Orange and all black available.
The only downside is that it's kinda heavy and bulky. I pack mine in a backpacker compression bag to minimize it's footprint. I can fit it under the seat of my GTS along with my tool roll, tire repair kit, and rain gloves. Check out rain gear at Revzilla - lots of good choices there. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle-rain-gear |

this "over-jacket" is amazing! Hi-viz (unless you like to go 'black/stealth' in traffic? ) Water, and hence wind-proof, on cold mornings! Layer as much as you want under it for armor and warmth. But - NOT going to be a good choice for hot/humid Florida riding! O.S. |

My jacket is waterproof and I have some good rain pants, but I quit packing them. By the time I got them on my pants are always already wet, LOL.
My rule is: I don't ride when it's cold AND rainy. I can handle cold and I can handle wet. I just can't handle both. |

I am also big on Frogg Toggs. You can also buy them at several price points. The more expensive are better. The cheaper lite weight rain cover may not be the best. I also wear the top when it is cold.
I always keep top and pants folded up under my scooter seat. Bob Copeland Minnesota |

I have that mid-weight bomber style of FT with a hood. It is in my scooter year round, and I get use of it every month out of the year. More often than not used when it is not raining.
