I am reasonably opened minded on most subjects. But, I think we need to keep individuals born male out of women's sports. I fully support their transition from male to female. They simply do not leave their muscle mass behind and can out compete females in most sports.

Example: The previous Olympic Gold Medalist in track openly admitted there are dozens of High School Males who can out run her. In fact, she was beat out of gold recently by a transitioned male.

There is also the impact on college scholarships for female athletes.

When I grew up, I played different organized sports all year. Ladies were confined to Dance Line and Cheer Leading. Now, gals are in numbers actively involved in all nature of organized sports. Good on them.

This is a difficult subject to debate and a hell of a lot harder for Sports bodies to adjudicate.

Is it fair that people born into the wrong body gender are effectively banned from playing competitive sport?

To date nearly 900 medals were awarded to trans athletes instead of the female competitors. Separating competition's by gender levels the playing field.

It's not the same as sex, and even that isn't easily defined. Chromosome counts can indicate one way, but everything else points the opposite - etc, etc.

It gets better than that. Dr. Sapolsky says it is the way we think that determines our gender identity. It can be measured in the brain.

Probably the most intelligent man in his field, a literal brain surgeon and professor of neurobiology at Stanford.

This is the goal. There is nothing wrong with trans people, or gay people, or Asian people, or Mexican/Hispanic people or Black people.

They all just want to be accepted and included. Imagine not letting Black people or Mexican people participate in a sport. In my mind excluding trans or gay people is the same kind of prejudice.

And here I thought it was just getting good...

My hot take: Most (if not all) so-called "social media" is a blight upon humanity. A textbook example of technology being used for things that will ultimately prove deeply harmful to the human race.

The main difference is that we've never hired any psychologists, neurologists, or other behavioral experts to juice the addictiveness of the site.

Forums like this, which essentially replaced the old bulletin board systems, are not in the class that is includes Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and so on.

My hot take, my definition. I use several forums like this for different topics; all are valuable sources of and repositories for tribal knowledge and information. "Social media" serves neither of those functions. I'll stop now.

There needs to be rules written for e-bikes. Period. I had two buffoons ride right at me (they were going the wrong way) at at least 25 miles an hour. These things are a menace. For clarification, I was on my peddle bike... Really beginning to hate these things.
