I would like to replace the stock LEDs and the running lights on the front with ultraviolet alternatives. Are there any kit kits or replacement lights? The brighter the better.
The lights I'm talking about.

What do you mean with "ultraviolet alternatives"?
Our eyes as human beings are not able to see ultraviolet light. |

Ultraviolet or "black" lights will only illuminate fluorescent items. Just like in the disco...
They will not aid vision in the dark, there's not much naturally fluorescent in the natural world. Normal halogen and LED lights will light up anything reflective, and some LED lights will have a proportion of ultraviolet output, as the blue LED in them will spill over into that part of the spectrum. But so what... |

I think what you have seen on trucks is some form of smoked lens that is resulting in a blue black hue. Either way it doesnt meet your criteria to provide " a clear view of the road" and " brighter the better" Steve |

We use the UV lights and the trucks where I work and they might not be true UV as somebody stated but they do have UV properties as they will cause certain objects to change spectrum color as UV does, but they also make everything more visible and they are purple and color like most black lights I was wondering if there was any kind of bulb kit that would swap to those , but I guess not

Yeah, this seems like a misunderstanding of terminology. Ultraviolet isn't part of the visible spectrum for humans. Even at that end of the spectrum that is visible for humans (blue) our eyes have the least sensitivity, meaning that blue light isn't going to help either.
Whatever trucks are doing, it probably isn't ultraviolet. |
