I went to move my Piaggio Liberty 125 at the weekend and the back brake seems to be stuck on. The brake lever is also stuck. It was fine when I put it away 3 weeks ago. Ironically I was taking it for a service! Any suggestions on how I can free this? (Please use non technical wording as know nothing about this sort of thing!) Thank you

Will that need replacing or can it be lubed up (so-to-speak!)?

It can probably be temporarily freed up, but almost certainly there's been a split in the covering and it's got rusted up. Replacement is the only permanent solution! You can also temporarily free the back brake by loosening off the cable by the actuating lever at the rear hub, so you can ride it to your dealer if you aren't going to replace it yourself. Note the rear brake will now be inoperative!!!
