I planned out a ride here in Westchester, NY as the leaves are right in the middle of their autumnal change. The intention of the ride was to take a look at the newly opened Storm King highway near West Point as they had just reopened after reconstructing it because it was washed out by a severe flood last year.
Here is my bike waiting in Tarrytown for a couple of other riders to show up.

We then rode over to Nyack to pick up a few more riders from NJ

After meeting up with everyone at the gas station we started up 9W, past Bear mountain all the way up to the start where it splits off to Rt 218 (Storm King) the pic below is to give you an idea of how beautiful the roads were yesterday.

We road up further north, the road goes right up to the edge and you can see all of the Hudson river on your right as you ride up. The roads curve nicely but you can't go too fast as you will continuously get stuck behind cars waiting to pass cyclists. If I was riding alone I probably would go much earlier in the morning to avoid the cars.

We continued north up to the Motorcyclepedia museum in Newburgh and then east across the Newburgh beacon bridge.

Once in Dutchess county we rode south down 9D, some riders split off to go home to Ossining. We continued south past Bear mountain bridge, down the goat trail where more riders peeled off to go home. I finished the ride back in Mt Pleasant. If you are interested in joining me on future rides I just created a Facebook page where I will plan and post rides, please follow if you are interested in the routes.

Thanks for sharing! It's a beautiful ride! You brought back memories of when I lived back East and would take my bike on fall leaf trips.
