I'm looking at SIP tuning options for my 1953 wideframe. Anyone got advice on the pinasco 160 cylinder kit (SIP part number 84123J00) versus the reedvalve version (84123100)? Also thinking of stoffi polini CP23 carburettor and the SIP racing exhaust 3.0. My goal is modest power (10hp), reliability and plug-&-play. Any advice welcome, hope you read this BajaRob GickSpeed

Did this bike come with a single port engine? or is the bike VM1?

I have ridden an Allstate with the reed valve Pinasco and it is great. It comes with an intake that will work with the CP23, and probably makes more power spread out across a wider powerband. Price difference is the only downside that I can see.

I have the SIP 3.0 on my VB1 and I really like it, but I haven't compared it to others.

23/65 gearing. Skip that exhaust and go with the new BGM Box. Run a Vape static ignition, 57mm crankshaft, CP23 carb.

I just finished my 1953 wideframe and went with the 160 pinasco without the reedvalve. Enough power for my puprposes.

did upgrade the clutch, the main gear, the carburator, the exhaust and the electronics.
