Modern Vespa

Hello All,

Recently my Vespa GTS SuperTech 300 HPE (2019 Model) engine failed. This was due to no oil in the engine it was my fault but now I am trying to repair it.

I have found online a cylinder from Malossi. Does anyone have experience with this Cylinder is it better than the original or shall I find the original part? (Link below)

Firstly i suggest changing the heading of this post to say something like "Malossi cylinder on GTS". Then you'll get more feedback

Now to your question ...

It is a slightly larger cc than standard so I'm not sure if the ecu would be able to adequately adapt to this increase without a changing the fuel map.

I'm actually seriously thinking of buying one of these soon myself and also a malossi camshaft and a malossi forcemaster 3.

If you ran it without any oil for any length of time, you should look for a donor engine and switch them out. A new top end isn't going to help out the bottom end bearings if they are shot.
