Modern Vespa

I made a video of the Northwest Mini Moto 24hour endurance race. We had a VMC 100cc small frame built, and it ran like a champ (for the most part). For as much abuse and WOT we gave it, it never seized and we did all 24 hours and crossed the checkered flag. If anyone knows of anyone who races the VTR24hr race in Spain and has room for a racer, let me know, I'm trying to go.

Tell us more about the event, like what're the classes, rules, etc.

I don't think I'm tough, skilled, or aggressive enough to ride in an event like this, but I'd definitely be down to help with the build and support it.

Yeah I've been talking to him and Jon Rhodes. Im also in a group chat with the official VTR organizer, just putting as many feelers out there as I can. All the rules and classes can be found on their website. We were the only scooter there, but my lap times were faster than about half of the people on super moto 125/150's. You should def consider coming next year, it would be sweet to have you there. Unfortunately the team I rode with are planning on running a modern Vespa next year, but if anyone has ambition to put a large frame or small frame in the race, I'll ride it!

8 minutes is probably a better starting point, but also not nearly the endurance contest of a 24 hour race (or something in between) One of my clubmates has raced a LOT over the years and I'm sure he'd be down if we could pull a team together. Seems like a year out is probably about right to start planning, too.

If you really wanna go, send me a message and we can start planning. We would need minimum 5/6 riders that are willing and able to do multiple 1hour long shifts. I'm sure some of the other guys from last year would put in a few laps for us too if we needed it. But if you're really down I'm down!

I talked to the best possible option for someone who'd do it and his response was, "never again."

Of course, once it's too late to pull something together, he'll probably pop back up, but that way, he gets to think about it, but with none of the pain of actually doing it.

I tried to send you PM, well if you really wanna build a bike for it, I can do my best to start recruiting some racers. I will be going no matter what, even if its to race with the same team from last year on their Twist n Go racer for 2025. Id obviously much rather race a vintage shifty instead.

Is the date scheduled yet? As much as I'd like to do it, partly to say I have, it may just not be feasible.

Realistically, I already have a pretty full scooter event calendar next year, including probably going to Euro Lambretta Jamboree in Scotland, which will take a chunk of time and money. Plus ROM, WKRP, Band Camp, our Snakes rallies, Lammy Jammy USA in Oregon, and probably at least one more I'm not thinking of first thing in the morning.
