This post serves no function other to say how stoked I am to pick up my 2023 gts 300 super tech in matte blue tomorrow. I rode a 300 yesterday for the first time and all I can say is yes. It's in another class than the kymco people I have (and love). I got up to ludicrous speed in a heartbeat, and sooooo smooth. I can 't buy the one near me because the color, sort of a mattte grey, is meh to me. The blue on the other hand is boner city.
Gonna have to drive a bit to pick it up but the dealer is wanting to get it sold so its got a decent discount. Yes it costs more than my first new car. Man lives but once I guess. I think we're in for a couple more nice weeks in KS before we have to start suiting up, and spring is coming pretty early these days. I hope to meet som eof you all on the rode, at a rally or something like that. It's ridiculous how much fun these are to ride. I think the main thing i like is you cant take calls, cant fiddle with the radio etc. Gotta be present at all times, and I think that is good for my brain. Happy to join the club!

Congrats that is the one I have and I love it. I got the matching top case to enable helmet storage and tire repair kit, jackets, rain gear, etc.

I also got the fly screen it helps to move the air up from your chest to around your neck, helps on long drives. No real value other than to lessen the wind on your body. I use the navigation quite often and it gives turn by turn directions in the speakers in my helmet.

It's a great bike I plan to buy another when in 2025.

the top case I really love you can fit so much in it. I use the Vespa to run for groceries all the time.

If the kymco had any style i'd stick with it. I just think its kinda ugly. I bought it 2 years ago and basically never use my truck anymore. It helps too that I get mileage paid for work; it's really helped my margin. The only thing I'm wondering about is the gas filler being under the seat. On the kymco it's in the floorboard, and no matter how slow i fill I end up spilling. I'm sure there's a pro tip for this!

That is tricky I have gotten better at it as I know generally how much gas I need to get it full so I back off when I know I am close and slow the gas down.

There is a good trick when you take the cap off. I attached a video from Robot that shows you how to do it, so you don't spill gas in the pet carrier or bucket.

A fueling practice I use for my 2024 GTS is to wait until the low fuel light comes on then stop for fuel. I add exactly 1.5 gallons of fuel at that point. The DTE miles indicator drops to about 31 miles remaining when my low fuel light comes on. It's more helpful than the fuel gage for planning a fuel stop.

It turned out to be a week from tomorrow rather than tomorrow, but I did make the long Schlep on Friday to pick this guy up. It's gorgeous. Of course it's rainy today. Hope to get it out some tomorrow. But to be honest, I'm not 100% sold on having key fobs and remote control stuff or lots of technology on a motor scooter. Having said that I'm gonna go down and try to figure out how to open the seat so I can get out the owners manual and read the instructions. Anyway, here is the bike.

Lovely bike , just make sure as well as accessories screen box etc, you order some matt paint cleaning / paint care products.

Harley Davidson have a huge rage as do Indian who have been using matt paint on bikes for years. Their products for removing bugs and sap are apparently very good whilst preserving the deep matt finish.

Make sure you download the electronic manual as well. It differs from the printed one.

That's a good tip. Currently the printed manual is in under the seat and I can't figure out how to open it!

Bring the fob close to the bike and push the upper right button near the throttle. Or use one of the buttons on the fob you will hear it click open the seat from the back it swings up toward the front of the scooter. The other button on the fob lights it up to let you know it's your scooter if you are parked near many other ones. I have that same scooter it's so fun. I would suggest a helmet you can put speakers in and connect it to your phone and the phone to the scooter so you can get turn by turn directions in the helmet as you ride

Beautiful!
I feel the same way you do re the "unnecessary" techie/electronic stuff on a Vespa. Just give me a key and a few Analogue gauges and I'll be happy.....

Enjoy the new Scooter!

Really nice Vespa 300. I am not a fan off Fob's. Same with cars. Just give me a key.

and in my case the downloaded (using my vin on piaggio's site) has wrong valve gap specs. the printed has correct. Plus the tire pressures listed are very different - yet again the printed has the same as all other gts manuals yet the pdf has significantly higher for front and rear.
