Hi guys,

I have a crack running through my engine casting and I would like to know if it's repairable. It looks like someone has already welded the ends of the crack, maybe to stop its spreading. Any ideas on if it can be repaired and last. Or is it worth repairing. I have a a spare side casting, can it be used with another half or do both sides need to be made as a pair.

It's repairable. Just find a welder that knows what he's doing with aluminum. If you don't fix it it's garbage anyway.
