Hi there,

Before I took it apart it was working 100%
Now after I disassembled it (fork off and more) and re-assembled for vinyl wrapping and the check engine light is illuminated.

Any idea why this would happen. I obviously had to disconnect the front brake caliper when removing the fork, as well as the monitor.

Any idea on how to reset the check engine light? there is no mention of it in the workshop manual..

You may have to go into the dealer for them to read, diagnose and reset the code. Blindly assuming you are the only cause of the light is a risk you need to evaluate or accept.

IDK if you have DYI options for the Elettrica, but if it is anything like the other models when connected to the diagnostic connector under the seat, you can use an adapter cable for a common OBD-II reader. Your local mechanic or auto parts dealer may read the codes for free, and may very well have the adapter since it is a common motorcycle one. I was thinking of purchasing one of these https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832643520014.html but have no idea if it will work, the added facilities for key management interested me. Disconnecting the monitor probably set it off, any number of other possibilities. If everything is fastened together now, you have nothing to lose by disconnecting to battery ground to clear any codes. Assuming everything you declared is true.
