So from what I can gather, I can use a t5 air filter and a PX/T5 carb cover on my 20/20e carb to get a little more air in there? I need to get 2 longer screw. What about the longer T5 idle screw, that can also be swapped on the 20/20 carb?

The idle screw for the T5 24G carb will not work on the taller P/PX 20 and 24mm carbs. The standard idle screw will work with the T5 filter. Only downside is the filter goes ON before the idle screw. You have to remove the idle screw to remove the filter. A PX filter fits ON and OFF without removing the idle screw.

Thanks for that. I'm still in the planning stage thankfully. I got it home on sunday. I had an old vnb5 that bat city scooters threw a cheap kit and bajaj ignition on, but nothing much ever went wrong with it so I never really learned much about the engine before I sold it. I was much more comfortable with the px150. Now this old 1980 bajaj I just want to mild tune because off all the hills here. Look at the size of the coil on that thing.

I skimmed, it was a lot to read. So you never figured out how the T5 fubared it?

Yes. I never can do T5 filter to work clear. Then I saw FMP's post about T5 filter and threw it to far shelf in the garage.

Hey Roland do you have a link for FMP's post about the filter?

A standard P air filter and the standard low height P carb cover isn't what's holding you back. I wouldn't waste any time, trouble, or money on that modification. Spend that money towards something that will actually give you more power. Such as additional porting on the stock cylinder or switching over to an aluminum cylinder kit.

Thanks Roland. The link is tricky to uncover the details and there aren't many. One thing I picked up was FMP described the silver mesh being too fine. SIP had an earlier version with fine metal mesh. I had one and agree they are horrible. SIP changed to a nylon mesh like the original Piaggio filter. Here's a photo of the fine metal mesh that is bad and the new version with the nylon mesh.
