Does anyone have instructions for lubricating the center stand on a BV400? I can probably figure it out, but if I can find someone with instructions or experience that would be better. It doesn't retract all the way without a nudge.

For a proper lubrication you need to take it off, remove the metal tube that rotates inside the engine casings, clean it up (they tend to rust), re-grease and put everything back together. There are also two o-rings, one on each side, that may need to be replaced (OEM code: 273754)…

I was hoping for an easier method. I had so much trouble when I repaired my BV350's center stand. Anyway, thanks for the tips.

Not a fun project. My motivation to do it was remembering whaling away on the sleeve with a punch because I let it go too long. 😭

The springs are a beyitch. Doing it on my first BV I'd made a hook/ lever contraption which worked decently, but when I recently did the 2017 I did the penny stacking which worked well enough.

It's a long drive, otherwise I could be lured up with donuts.
