Looking at at BV 350 with 17k miles. Overall looks good except for a decent size piece of plastic missing on front shield. Price is $1400

Concern is repairing that hole as front shield is obsolete.

Thoughts?

Well, it will get you away from refrigerator repair. Razz emoticon

Yeah, I'd want to fix that hole, but don't know where to start. My 2013 was a great ride, reliable and all, only sold it because a 2017 with ABS brakes, and well, newer was available for a great price, and I love that one too. Hard to beat the price, I spent double that for mine...had fewer miles, but 17K is just warming up.

Have you asked the owner what happened? It looks like that piece was cut out.

I see some plastic missing at the footrest. Looks like heavy drop damage. At that price, I'd ride it hard and put it away wet. If looks are important, I wouldn't buy it.

Plus there are scuffs along that side of the shield, and on the top(!) edge of the end of the rear brake lever.

True but he needs to sell. He is down to $1175 plus the matching top case. Located in Glens Falls NY if anyone interested

This. The fairing can be ABS solvent welded fixed very cheaply. With care, you can even make it look good. I bought a bike with a similar hole, as well as inherited one with yet a similar circumstance. In both cases, it was the glovebox that was destroyed!. The glovebox is made from polypropylene and cannot be solvent welded nor sufficiently glued. If that is broken, it'll cost you $350ish for a new one.

I have found obsolete plastic parts from used parts dealers in Italy on EBay. The shipping can be pricy, but it's worth a look.
