Replaced all 3 tires with Michelin city grip 2
Stock front was 110/70/13, which was only available from Pirelli, not my favorite brand, sticky, don't last...

City Grips 2 only available 120/70/13, which rub on the fender brackets
Deleting the fenders requires a spacer or a shorter bolt for the lower locking rod mount
I suppose if I rode in the rain more I might care about the fenders
The mechanic mentioned the asr was activating frequently. I had replaced the battery & never bothered calibrate, since I usually turn the asr off 1st thing...

First thing I noticed is the turn in is quicker, I don't have to lean with as much force

I ordered 110/90 12 for my 2008 the other day, I hope they'll fit without problem...
I looked with a lazy eye on the fender height and without hesitation or measurement I concluded "they'll fit"...
Reading your post made me lose my breath but then I saw that you have 13 inch wheels and life came back to me again...

Reason I went 90 in profile is comfort, its a touring bike mainly and also the Speedo lied -10%, now it's going to show +5% approx.

Btw, I'm no Pirelli fan either...

I did the same thing on my 2016. Interestingly the left side (from the saddle) cleared fine. The right rubbed a little even with max (which was pretty minor) adjustment. After a few hundred miles of minor use "buffing" all was good on the right side as well. It looked a minor bending of the rather beefy bracket would do the trick…or probably easier…about a 1/2" cut off the front of the fender would also solve the problem. The rubbing was so minor I went with the "solve itself" fix. ROFL emoticon
