*edit* nm. I'll look for a wheel chock.

Sorry quick question. Youngest child has only known me owning a ural. He's fascinated by the 80 Bajaj. On it whenever I turn my head and strong enough to push it. Best way to secure it from falling over on him?

Lock him in the house until he loses interest. (j/k) Or lock it in the garage. Really, the only sure way is to keep the kid and the scooter apart until he's old enough to know better.

Pretty much this. Not to sound like a complete dick, but if he's old enough to push it off the stand/over, he's old enough to learn self control in its presence.

He's 3. Still strong enough to accidently pull it over. I decided to end this thread though because I see a potential for it going south.

Probably good plan to end the thread, but I want one shot at going the other way here. I think all the above is well intended but I couldn't do that! Stubborn emoticon I would hope to ENCOURAGE the kids, both boys & girls. My 10 year old niece was instrumental in reviving my first Vespa, an old dead 50s that she scrubbed greasy dirt off of like a demon, and loved to ride w/ me when we got it running. In front of me so she could steer, I wouldn't put her behind me yet, she's still a LITTLE KID!

In this case I think I'd probably figure a way to anchor the frame w/ ratchet straps going to both sides so it CAN'T fall over, sort of like you rig for transport. Possible damage to the floorboard from a small kid sitting on it while up on the center stand? I doubt much if kid has been explained to and asked to be tender, but still totally worth it.

I might. I stand with him while he plays on it. He's just super excited. I'm concerned about it falling over on him and hurting him, not so much the scooter. Thanks for the useful advice though, that is appreciated.

There's a mechanical stand lock kit for the PX, it could probably be adapted to the older models…
