I ran across this today while chasing down bearings for a re-rebuild of the GL's motor and figured it was worth sharing.

It's a 30x62x16 two piece bearing.

They list it as a clutch-side bearing for some reason, but it should totally work for the flywheel side, allowing you to split older cases just like a P.

Can't work. Crank bearings are 25x62x12 mm. This one is for the BFA cases / crank, says it at the bottom. They just put in all the models in the description making it unclear, typical SIP…

Great idea! If one were determined, would a precision 25 x 30 steel sleeve make it work? If so, SIP or somebody could make a bunch and profitably sell @ $10 apiece it seems to me. Like that will ever happen, but somebody w/ lathe access could give it a shot (looking at you, Safis, I'd pay $10 ea. for a couple if it works).

Speaking of other bearing options. Is there another type of bearing to replace that multi piece setup that goes on the Selector Box end of the drive shaft in VBA's,VBB's VLA's Etc. ? In my world, once that cage gets a bit altered during a difficult install, it's never the same. I had a set of cases once that the previous owner bored out the hole to accept a standard roller bearing.

I've seen several Vietnamese engines that have a machined adapter that allows a p-series bearing to be used at the selector.

that being said, this is just over-thinking and trying to find a problem for a solution.
