I want to Purchase a new Supertech. Was waiting to see if they would introduce new colors but it seems only one color change. I decided on the Grigio Ottimista Matt color. That is available in the 2024/2025 models. I can purchase the 2024 now or wait until US gets the 310 but I am hearing that might be at least 6 months.

In Pennsylvania I have the 2023 GTS300 Supertech in Blu Energico Matt and love it! It's great on all the hills and twisty roads and has plenty of power.

I want to buy the new Scooter for Florida where roads are more flat and less Twisty so 300 has more than enough power. I just don't want to purchase the same color I already have.

Any suggestions on buying now or waiting? I do wonder with a new motor if there will be issues. I know the 300 is solid been driving it for 2 years with no issues. Feedback is appreciated.

Yes I did they did not hear yet from Vespa but they said new models typically take 6-8 months especially with a new engine that may need to pass US emissions. They are checking for me but if that is the case that is a long time to wait.

When the US gets the 310 likely depends on how many 300 engines Piaggio still has ready to drop into bikes. Once they go through those, they will make the 310 for the US market.

If it was my choice I'd stick with what I have now and then buy the 310 Supertech next year when it's available.

I guess it all comes down to when you want the new to you bike in Florida. Here in the UK my local dealer is offering $1300 off the 2024 300Gts super. They dont have a supertech in stock , but the $1300 is off three different colours in the showroom.

Secondly, and call me old fashioned I don't like to buy the very first release of a new bike. Ok Piaggio's development is glacial compared to other brands , but a new engine with different tooling and separate emission gadgets may have a few teething problems.

So back to my first statement, if you need it soon, capitalise on the discounts commensurate with an outgoing model and buy what you know.

If time isnt an issue, wait 9 to 12 months by which time the manufacturing process will be bedded in and availability will be known.

Just my opinion.

I would wait for the 310, the longer stroke will make the HP available at lower RPM's and the torque too. That will make it easier to drop cars in any kind of traffic.

If it was a new head with variable valve timing then I'd be worried. but for this style of change the odds are good.

I went with the GTS300 they mentioned they would not have the 310 in until middle of next year with motor change it would take longer for approvals.

I love the current GTS300 Supertech in Blue I have in PA so I bought the GTS300 Supertech in Dark Gray for Florida. I traded a 2013 LX50 in as well.

I was also thinking by the time the new GTS310 comes to market in the US will there be a 20% tariff on it given the new administration desire to add tariffs to imports.

Back to the original question:
There should be no issues with the new 310 whatsoever. The thing is that with more facts available, there seems to be very little reason to go for it.
I would say, go find a good deal on a 300 and spend some money on vinyl to make it look how yoú like it.
Well or spend some on the one you have.
Enjoy!

thanks, I ended up buying the GTS300 Supertech in Dark Gray. Its being delivered when I arrive in Florida early Dec. I already have the same one in Blue so very familiar with it and didn't want to wait until middle of next year for the 310.

Good for you; congrats!

Dark grey; begging for some brightening up with cheerful vinyl Laughing emoticon

The NSM tricolore ´arcobaleno´ decal set would look imo.
