I've had an Akra pipe on my GTS250 for well over a decade. I really like the deeper tones and the more sporty look when compared to the OEM.

I did not buy it with the expectation of increased performance, but it is lighter than the stock muffler.

A few years ago I had to replace my exhaust header pipe. I've read that these exhausts can sometimes cause the header pipe to fail, but I have no way of knowing for sure. I went with a more robust header pipe from SIP.
